Mr. Sunil
Chawla, Partner
Mr. Chawla has over 21 years of financial services and consulting experience. Prior to joining JBC in 2001, he was Head of Corporate Finance (North) for Tata Finance Limited, one of India's leading non-banking finance companies. At Tata Finance, Mr. Chawla was primarily responsible for Corporate Finance, Investment Banking and Retail Distribution of financial products. Mr. Chawla started his career with Sahni Natarajan and Bahl, a leading Delhi-based firm of Chartered Accountants, where he was head of the Direct Tax and Statutory Audit practice. He also served a two-year stint with International Development Research Centre (IDRC), a Canadian research funding organization, as Regional Finance and Administration Manager, at their South Asia Regional Office in New Delhi. Mr. Chawla holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from University of Delhi and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Mr.
Bharat Bakhshi, Partner
Mr. Bakhshi joined JBC in 2006. He has over 19
years of experience, of which 14 years has been in
financial services. Prior to joining Jacob Ballas, he
was a Director at UBS Investment Bank. In his last
assignment at UBS, he was based in Mumbai, where he was
responsible for origination and execution of capital
markets and advisory transactions for clients across
sectors. Prior to that he did Investment Banking with UBS
in New York for three years. Before joining UBS, Mr. Bakhshi was an Assistant Vice President with Citigroup. He
spent four years with Citigroup in Mumbai and New York, in
Sales and Product Management. He started his career
with Atlantic Richfield Corporation in Los Angeles, where
he did Project Management and Financial Analysis.
Mr. Bakhshi has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from California State University, Fullerton and an
MBA from University of Southern California.
Mr.
Tirumala Rao, Principal
Mr. Tirumala Rao joined JBC in 2006. He has over 10 years of
experience in the financial services industry including 7 years
of private equity experience. Prior to joining JBC, he was Asst.
Vice President with ICICI Venture where he was involved in
making investments across sectors and managing several portfolio
companies. He also worked in the structured products group of
ICICI Bank for 3 years. He commenced his career with Tata
Consultancy Services as a software engineer. Mr. Tirumala Rao is
a management graduate from IIM Calcutta and has a B.Tech
(Computer Science) degree from REC Waranagal.
Mr.
Sandeep Goyal, Principal
Mr. Sandeep Goyal joined JBC in
2009. He has over 13 years of experience in management
consulting as well as the telecom industry. Prior to joining JBC,
he was at Bharti group where he headed Business Development and
Special Projects for Bharti Infratel Limited and was involved
with the setting up of the tower business from its inception. He
also worked in the Business Strategy team for Bharti Airtel
Limited. He also has over 10 years of experience in the
management consulting industry with IBM Business Consulting
Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers and AF Ferguson, wherein he
worked on engagements across various sectors including telecom
and oil & gas. Mr. Sandeep Goyal is a management graduate from
IIM Calcutta and has a B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) degree
from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Mr. Rahul Jetley,
Associate Principal
Mr. Rahul Jetley joined JBC in 2005.
Prior to joining JBC, he worked as a Research Associate at New
York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) in the International
Institutional Sales group. Subsequent to spending 3 years at JBC,
he took a 2-year leave to pursue his MBA, rejoining the Company
in 2010. His current responsibilities include deal sourcing and
analysis as well as assisting in investor relations management.
Mr. Rahul Jetley earned a BSB in Marketing from the Carlson
School of Management at the University of Minnesota and his MBA
from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Monica Kakar
Chadha, Sr. Investment Manager
Ms Monica Chadha joined JBC in 2004. Prior to joining JBC, Ms Chadha has worked for over 3 years as a Deputy Manager in Cargill India Pvt Ltd in their Treasury and Global Capital Markets Division. She was actively involved in all banking activities of the Company as well as handling the operations for the division's investments. She has a total of
16 years experience, with 8 years in financial services in the areas of money markets, leasing, hire purchase, inter corporate deposits and bills discounting. Ms Chadha holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Honors) degree from Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University and has cleared the intermediate exam of ICWA. She has also earned an MA in Business Economics from Delhi University.
Mr.
Shwetank Patni, Sr. Investment Manager
Mr. Shwetank Patni joined JBC in 2008. Prior to joining JBC, he
worked in the Valuations and Business Modeling team of Ernst &
Young Private Limited for almost 3 years. He was mainly involved
in carrying out business valuations across industry sectors for
equity placements, regulatory compliances, merger-demerger etc.
He was also involved in preparation and review of financial
models for project appraisals, project funding etc. Prior to
working with Ernst & Young, Mr Patni worked as Manager with
ICICI Bank Limited, Corporate Finance Division for about 1.5
years. Mr Patni earned a Chartered Accountant degree in 2001 and
a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from Indian
Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 2005.
Mr. Mayank Aggarwal, Sr. Investment
Manager
Mr. Mayank Aggarwal joined JBC in 2011. He has over 6
years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking and
consulting. Previously, he worked as a Manager with the
investment banking division of Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors
in Mumbai. In this capacity, he worked on origination and
execution of M&A transactions across sectors. Prior to that, Mr.
Aggarwal worked for 2 years with KPMG as a Senior Associate in
its Corporate Finance division, advising clients on M&A, equity
raising and debt raising transactions with focus on the
infrastructure sector. Prior to KPMG, Mr Aggarwal worked for 3
years with Bank of America as Assistant Vice President in the
Corporate and Investment banking group in its Sydney and New
Delhi offices. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers
as a Consultant in their Infrastructure Advisory division. Mr.
Aggarwal is a management graduate from IIM Calcutta and is an
engineering graduate with a dual degree (M.Tech and B. Tech) in
Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
JBC has a support staff of 7 individuals, headed by Mr. Anurag Kumar.
Mr. Anurag Kumar, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Anurag Kumar joined JBC in 1997 and is currently the company's CFO as well as Chief of Operations. Prior to joining JBC, he was a Manager at Siel Financial Services, during which time he was head of accounts and looked after fixed deposits and operations. Prior to that, he worked at Narang Group, where his responsibilities included setting up their MIS system, as well as conducting financial feasibility studies for equity and debt placement. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and holds a degree in law (LLB).
